I think that was the mechanical twin of the Duster.

I think that was right before it blew a head gasket.

I remember when that mag came out. But the SHO blew the other 2 away for refinement. And the Spirit couldn't turn.

Re: stock CTS-v vs modded SHO

I remember the Dodge Colt (of the 80's that used to beat Vettes) but I can't believe the Dodge Spirit was ever considered fast.

You guys made me go look it up as I never knew about it.

What a piece, but I have to give Dodge points for trying, just like they still are with Chargers, Neons & Jeeps.
I do like that it beat the SHO.

I still think the ultimate sleepers of the late 80's and early 90's were the 89 turbo TA with the GN 3.8 in it, and the 91 Syclone then Typhoons.

Yeah i remember it too. I was 4 years old then, but i read it years later. My dad has almost every Car and Driver since they were Sports Car Illustrated, which was the mid-late 60's. I know just about every 0-60 and and top speed of any car from the 80's and 90's off the top of my head. All i did when i was little was read car magazines.

I can relate. I've tailored my long pooping cycles based on reading Car&Driver. I've been reading for as long as I can remember. 1980 or so...

I have probably 12-18 months still in my bathroom. And I still have the 2003 mag with the preview of the CTS-V being tested in Germany. When they said projected price of about $50G, I started making plans and saving my $$$. C&D was a BIG reason I bought my V.
