How do we fair against Mustang gt?
Well my friend got challenged by a 05 Mustang GT and my friend has a 06 Charger with a hemi. He asked me for advice and i said lemme jump online. Researching i found its like a 290 hp and the car is as heavy as ours..... and the jacked up part is they run like a 8.2-8.6 stock this really boggles me wtf is goin on? does that mean when i line up with a stock GT i am just gonna get Worked? i was really suprised to see what stock ones were running and its a 500 dollar bet race its stupid to race for money but i have stupid friend. and its not my deal

Re: How do we fair against Mustang gt?
I went up against a modified 98, Procharger, Large Throttle Body, bigger injectors, Headers, Indepent rear suspension out of a 03 Cobra....
I spanked him. He was pushing about the same horsepower but I walked away. I'm not stock either but my Mod's are minor.
Just remember, they are running a 4.6L so they need to do work to those things to get teh horsepower we have Base.

The GT couldn't hold a candle to the V.
Even the GT500 would lose to a lightly modded V.

If you've seen 'em runnin 8.2 - 8.6, then you better race from a roll. Or at least run 1/4 mile. The only reason that they would be able to do that is because they can leave hard without leaving parts of the car behind (like us).

I wouldn't go that far. They have hit low 12's in stock trim. But either way the CTS-V will destroy a stock Mustang GT with ease

I've heard high 12s for the GT500. It's a pig lol.

They are pigs but their biggest issue is getting traction off the line. Owners have gotten mid to low 12's bone stock in them but at the same time I wouldn't say that that is the norm either
