D3 Cadillac is in the final stages of development for their 2014 CTS lowering springs for V-Sport and Standard model vehicles. Shown here with an optional 20″ forged 1-piece Modulare wheel & Toyo Tire 255/305 tire package, the D3 Sport springs provide the perfect stance for your Cadillac CTS without compromising ride quality. Vehicles equipped with the OEM mag ride system, our sport package lowering spring will come with all the proper and necessary hardware to ensure that the sophisticated system works without any issues. More information regarding pricing and availability coming soon.
Any chance you could provide before and after pictures side by side - or close to it? I'm very interested in making this my next car come July and I need as much information as possible to help me make that decision. PERFORMANCE engine/tune related upgrades/enhancements are VERY important to me.
This is about as close as we are going to get. We didn't take too many pictures when the car was brand new.
We will have a full complement of upgrades for this application. Development and testing is already underway. We are looking to release HP/TQ gains shortly.
I think GM has made a mistake with going back to the 25.7" tire height. It just doesn't give enough sidewall with 19s and especially 20s. The best way to implement these wheels is to put on a larger diameter tire.
Made in the USA the D3 Springs are ISO 9001 certified. The key to the D3 Spring is their progressive spring rates. This allows for the springs to become progressively stiffer based on the load transferred to each spring. In other words the spring will become progressively stiffer the more aggressively you drive.
looking at the rim and spring combination above, Im curious to know if you have to be concerned with suspension travel because it doesn't appear to be much room for tire travel. Im considering these 2 upgrades soon.
D3 i had your springs on my 2010 when they first came out and they did not properly fit inside the rubber spring cup and squeaked like mad. I hated them. I am considering a V Sport purchase and your springs but can you assure me they will fit properly with no noises?
Also D3 why do you list the springs with the mag hardware and without i mean is it mandatory or not? all V Sports have Mag Ride i believe. thank you and look forward to your reply for my interest and concerns
We have since revised the installation procedures and manufacturing process for the V2's that relieved those concerns.
In terms of the V-Sport we have been using them on our test vehicle for about a year now in everyday driving conditions as well as heavy track use without any issues or concerns. In regards to the mag hardware, that is in reference to the V-Sport as well as the standard CTS without mag ride. You are correct that all V-Sports have mag ride equipped. Please let us know if there are any other questions.
Dr Design thank you so the V Sport springs dont have these issues?
Dr Design how much better does the car feel with your springs on the street? i have no intent to track the car but desire a firmer sportier feel. also how are the Mag shocks holding up on your V Sport? My V2 shocks leaked before lowering and after lowering so this also worries me.
In the extensive duration of time that we monitored these springs & shocks we have not seen any signs of premature degradation. The feel on the street is certainly more sportier and not overly firm. The OEM mag ride system is kept in-tact and works properly given the appropriate hardware.
Let us know if there are any questions.
Thank you,
Dr. Design

Hello,
The hardware provided is for the interface of the MR system. Simply replace the OEM rods with the D3 provided rods in their respective position. Please email us and we can send you the supporting information. info@d3groupinc.com
Do you have any instructional materials or videos of your spring install? I just bought them.. I am specifically curious about any special considerations for Magnetic Ride cars.. Found four stainless rods with knurled ends in my package and can't help but think they have something to do with MR?
I believe you always trade off a bit of ride quality when you opt for lowering springs. The ride is a bit more firm, but not even noticeable to my wife. This is a well engineered kit that's adapted to the Mag Ride. I'm very pleased with the results!
Mine are great.. I am a huge fan... Very impressed with the ride motion... I drive daily with little degradation because the MR still works great.. only *some* small amount of harshness on LARGE Detroit potholes ... overall.. nice improvement on turn in, and little ride reduction.
