    2015 ZO6 rumored 620hp/650lb-ft torque. What's it mean for new CTS-V?

Specs have leaked for the upcoming 2015 C7 Z06, to be revealed at NAIAS next week (1/13) and they are MONSTERS -- 620hp/650lb-ft torque. Since CTS-V will no doubt share this motor, and no doubt they'll down reg it to give the Vette some breathing room. Sooooo, what do you guys think? 580hp/620lb-ft torque.

It's GONNA BE AWESOME. The other question remains WHEN. I'm guessing CTS-V will be intro'd at LA Auto Show in November 2014.

    Thoughts?

    CTS-V, i heard, will be force-fed a LS7.

hp wise would be around 575-610 hp.

LS7 anything is wishful thinking, for CTS-V or any future GM vehicle.

Since the Z06 won't be delivered to customers until "early next year" what it means for V3 is a long wait.

Revised numbers in this morning's announcement btw are "more than 625hp and 635lbft of torque." Also an eight-speed automatic that's 4Kg lighter than its predecessor.

What do you think the chances are of the third generation CTS-V not being available until late 2015? Good, I'd imagine... That's a long wait. And that would mean ANOTHER year of second generation CTS-V while the third generation CTS is available...

Actually I remember reading over on the cts v2 forums that you can no longer build a new cts-v. Whatever is left on lots is it.

^^^ yep noticed and have heard the same thing. My guess is that New York Auto Show will have ATS-V intro (with vehicles avail by summer) and then CTS-V in LA ( with vehicles avail by spring 2015, which would line up w Z06 availability. Sigh. Such a long wait for the really good stuff!!!

Chicago has always been known to be a "truck show" -- maybe chevy unveils a hi-po silverado. Bet nothing for caddy tho
