    Clock Time Zone Update

We recently took a trip from central time zone to eastern time zone and back. We noticed that the clock in our 15 escalade premium did change from central to eastern time when we crossed the time zone change. However it did not change back from eastern to central when we returned? I had to set it manually. I have not encountered this with our 13 XTS when traveling between time zones.

Any suggestions on what may be set incorrectly?

    Milt

I don't think it's anything you can set, it's updated via gps.

I just went on a trip and the timezone changed each way and I didn't have to do anything to get it to change.

On a recent drive on hwy 89 in southern Utah, the time displayed was Arizona time (Mountain Standard) most of the time, but switched to Utah time (Mountain Daylight) at times. This road is near the border, but clearly in Utah, so I wondered if the time zone is set based on the nearest cell tower. My Verizon phone does similar things along this route, which is a very rural area with few towers. The nav system knows we're in Utah, but the clock doesn't, so I question whether it's set based on GPS.

I had the same experience. Mine changed from Central to Eastern, but it didn't change back.

Just did a central to eastern trip, and back, a couple weeks ago in my 2013 SRX. Clock changed automagically in both directions.

Just noticed the same problem. Last weekend we went from EDT to EST. My CUE (Cadillac SRX 2014) still shows EDT time.

How silly...$30 cellphone does it well for many years, the infotainment system of $60K car cannot do it right.

Just move to Arizona or parts of Indiana.
When in doubt, yes, I am probably joking.

    Not a very constructive suggestion...

    Re: Clock Time Zone Update

Could it be that Daylight Savings Time happened to start or end between the two trips?

    Re: Clock Time Zone Update

Last weekend the time has jumped again. I have noticed on Saturday that it was one hour ahead again. Later in the evening it was back to normal. It looks like the problem is not only in CUE but in the cellular equipment or network. However, just out of curiosity I checked my phone (it is on the same Bell LTE network as CUE, I believe) and I did not see anything unusual.

Does the action of shutting down and restarting the Nav function affect the settings. Maybe , like a reboot?
