    Cleaning CUE

Anyone got any good tips on keeping the CUE system clean & dust free? I have that cloth they provided in the glovebox, but it only does so much. Should I just use
water to clean the touch screen & faceplate? Anyone?

    Re: Cleaning CUE

They gave me two different microfiber cloths, and found them more than sufficient. If you have slop on the screen, adding a little water to the cloths should be all you need to do.

Can you use Windex and a paper towel on the screen or no?

    Re: Cleaning CUE

I posted many months ago about keeping a tack cloth in your cubby under the CUE screen for dust. It works perfectly and leaves no residue. One of the forum members did research on a tack cloth and reported that it had all kinds of chemicals in it that he would not use on his CUE. I am sure he is right about the chemicals but this is the SAME rags that Ferrari and Porsche and all car manufacturers use just before they make their final spray of paint, ($25,000 paint job), on their cars. It is not a CLEANING rag but more like a swifter that picks up dust and particles that the microfiber leaves behind. I keep one in a ziplock bag and use it when stuck in traffic. It has to be stored in a ziplock bag or it will lose it's tackiness. It cannot be used to rub or scrub the screen with. It is a duster only and works so well that you will not believe it. Run it over your dashboard and instrument cluster as well as the steering wheel controls. They can be bought any where that sells gallon paint.

don't use windex, alcohol based cleaners will likely damaged the surface. Get small microfiber towel and the same cleaner you use for your flat screen TV. alternatively, you can buy the same foil-sealed moistened cloths you can buy in stables for use with a laptop screen. Those will work fine, and are convenient for car use. Just keep a couple in center console box or glove box.

    Re: Cleaning CUE

Armor All makes screen cleaner wipes that come in a small container that fits neatly in the door pocket
However, they do tend to dry out rather quickly but work well.

    Re: Cleaning CUE

i got 2 towels at walmart for 5 made for interior cleaning. one side does dust and the other side is like what they gave us. best advise is don't press to hard. this isn't like cleaning your phone, the plastic will scratch much much easier. I am wondering how much minor scratches are going to hit lease holders when they return the vehicle'
