    Bluetooth audio streaming

Strange thing occurred. Running a 2014 ATS with CUE.
Was traveling with Pandora streaming through Bluetooth. Worked very well for about 2-2.5 hours. Then somewhere past 2 but before 2.5 hours, the Bluetooth connection dropped and Pandora started playing from the phone. There was nothing I could do to get the phone to reconnect (rebooted it, went to the Bluetooth option in the car to try and reconnect, etc)(I did not attempt a restart of the car as I was on the express way). So I switched to my wife's phone (connected to it from the car Bluetooth menu) and hers connected without issue. I then streamed from that phone the rest of the trip (which was only about another half hour).

Strange thing - it happened the very next day. This time it was my wife's phone streaming first. Dropped out the same way in the 2-2.5 hour range. Switched back to my phone and was able to continue again. It doesn't seem to be a Pandora issue - but a Bluetooth issue with the car. Anyone ever hear or experience this? I did some searching but couldn't find anything. If I missed a previous thread on this, I apologize.

    Re: Bluetooth audio streaming

yes i have, and it's the phones, Iphones do something similar, they cannot be streaming and plugged in at the same time so if you get in and happen to have bluetooth selected and Pandora starts it will play until you plug in the phone then it will stop and play only via Cue Pandora app and not reconnect via bluetooth even after unplugging the phone until you restart the car...when i swithched from iphone to Moto X (android) i experienced exactly what you described, only worse in addition to it timing out like for you, it would also do this if someone called so a bluetooth phone call would kick off streaming

this went away when Motorola sent out the Android 4.4.2 update and is now functioning perfectly, when i was researching a way to fix this i came across many articles and posts saying there were bluetooth glitches in some earlier Android versions bluetooth implementation which 4.4.2 fixed

    Re: Bluetooth audio streaming

I've seen it with my Android phone. If the BT connection drops, the only way to re-initialize it is to turn off the vehicle and restart it.
