Sorry if I ever said anything bad concerning CUE and Pandora

When I first got my '14 CTS I bitched about Pandora not working most of the time. Well after extensive research this is what I have discovered. The problem was not CUE or Pandora. The problem was I don't have LTE coverage from my house to about 1 mile away. So Pandora would not connect. Eventually I realized this. So then I would wait till I was showing a 4g signal on my phone, which is mostly everywhere, and then hit the Pandora icon. It connects and plays within 15 seconds under these circumstances. If I park and come back, once I turn on the car I usually have music from Pandora in 10 seconds. So it wasn't CUE it was me.

Mine works with Sprint 3G coverage, but I rarely use it.

ACCORDING TO THIS you are incorrect...all mobile devices are capped to 64k AAC+ which is the same as the free web listeners get....the best quality is for Pandora One web (on a computer not phone) listers at 192k and in home devices are in between with 128k.....so car Pandora (which uses your phone as a modem) and phone Pandora both being mobile devices are capped at the same quality...

    :-(

There is a setting in the Pandora app to force high quality audio. There's a very discernible difference in audio quality, but I'm not sure what the bitrate difference is. In the low quality mode, I find it starts playing much faster and is less likely to pause randomly when losing 4G or high-speed connectivity. Remember, the CUE app is really just an interface for the Pandora app on the phone. Anything you do on the phone app will carry over to CUE.

What do you mean by that? I hit pandora icon and it just comes on in about 30 seconds. Leave the car and come back, it comes on in 10 seconds or less. I never touch anything.

Once in a great while, I-Phones will have a pop up on the phone screen which "states do you want to allow Pandora to be accessed?" If you don't hit yes, it won't allow your car to access the phone's internet streaming. Happens to my I-phone 4 occasionally.
