    Cadillac CUE & Climate Controls

Hey all, I am new to this forum. I just leased my first Cadillac and am beyond happy. I've always wanted a Cadillac and I got myself a 2014 ATS 2.0 turbo. I love everything about this car. It rides sensationally, the materials are awesome, etc. The only
thing that somewhat discourages me is the CUE system. I knew what to expect with CUE as I have played around with it many times prior to my leasing of the vehicle. I guess I'm posting this thread to see if anyone has any kind of tips or tricks they can offer on how to use the CUE system a bit easier while driving. The biggest issue I'm running in to is simply adjusting the temp. while the car is in motion. Hit one little bump and you miss the button you intended to touch. Anyone else find this frustrating?

Yup. Common complaint. I wish the VR did climate commands. That'd rock. "Climate temperature up" "Climate temperature down". "Climate fan up" "Climate fan down". "Climate defrost on" "Climate defrost off". That'd be enough to make me happy.

yeah, i'm surprised that it can't do anything by voice ... it's supposed to be one of the most advanced voice recognition systems to-date with it's natural language recognition instead of needing to use specific command structures...

Use the little raised chevrons on the CUE faceplate as guides. Put your pad of your finger on it, then rock the tip of your fingertip forward onto the sensor as many times as needed to adjust. I generally leave mine on Auto to make sure the A/C gets exercised and to fight the Northern VA humidity. I think with a little practice the guides will help you; that's why they're there. Also, since you're new to the car, it always takes a while to get the control locations locked into your spatial memory. My guess is that in a month or so you'll be able to reach right to it even with your eyes closed. (IMO being able to touch all controls without needing to see them is something every driver should strive for in their vehicle.)

Has anyone figured out how to watch video on it or view images?

For the life on me, this would be one of the most useful (and used) functions of CUE if this would be made available. Listen up Cadillac....this is wayyyy too obvious! Again, this could probably be a software update.
