    Apps for CUE

Ford has finally made good on their similar promise to make apps available for MyFordTouch. In the next few months Ford will enable that for their 2010 and later cars.

Hopefully we won't have to wait 3-4 years.

    Re: Apps for CUE

I am very very disappointed with the lack of any CUE updates. I won't say that my salesman mislead me, but he was excited and giddy to show off the CUE system and basically saying this is the tip of the iceberg and we could definitely expect updates. Guess I should have asked him if that was within this decade.

    Re: Apps for CUE

GM was probably to busy launching the new 4G LTE app shop for 2015 vehicles MyLink
After seeing what apps they have released for that and MyLink it says also I have zero interest in what they might release for CUE in the future.

Hmmm..you pay a premium to get a Cadillac and their CUE system, yet it appear Mylink is not only on par, but in some ways it is going to be even better. Really expected more from Cadillac.

According to the ATS coupe press release CUE is included with the updates that I posted for My Link and 4G LTE systems.

Yea, and I wonder if the update (minus 4G LTE, of course) will be available to us that already have CUE as a software update?

I really like CUE, but it seems like Cadillac has just left us flat as far as app development and updating goes. It would be majorly disappointing if you had to buy a whole new car to get new CUE features.

Yea, that's not a good sign.

    Re: Apps for CUE

Gang, good news and bad: You've probably heard that Google has launched an automotive alliance to bring tech into the auto industry. (I *HAVE* been saying I was gonna put a Nexus on top of the CUE screen, I guess they heard...) This is good news for the future of infotainment in GM cars, but doesn't necessarily bode well for CUE support over the next year or two.

I can't help but think CUE as we know it today will be on it's way out.

    Re: Apps for CUE

Depends on how adaptable the CUE hardware is. It's possible it could be upgradable, but who knows. Further, it'll be a while before we see any fruits of this "alliance" if we ever do. I just hope those of us with older CUE units ("old", I've only had my car for 2 weeks!) don't get left in the dark.

Other than the 8 main apps on CUE, are there any others available? I've noticed we have ability to swipe screen to another page but there is no content? Thanks

How about the "open source " option? Does that allow for importing stuff?
