I have two major complaints with CUE that I have not seen addressed here:
1) it's internal database has stored many titles of songs from an SD card that I subsequently re-formatted, and hence has many titles that are duplicated; one of the links will play the song, album, or artist, the other will lead to "media not found"; and
2) it's internal database of my contacts list is somewhat messed up, as CUE has taken liberties with names, in one case actually creating a name that doesn't actually exist by combining several references to that contact. In this case I have to refer to said contact by this 'CUE manufactured reference' during voice commands (or in the contacts list, of course) if I actually want to find the phone number through CUE.
So my question is: how do I erase CUE's internal database as it pertains to music and contacts?
It's supposed to start a re-index every time you operate the vehicle. It won't do it while the vehicle is shut-off, however. You have to leave it running.
Leaving the old index there is a "feature", not a bug, as in most circumstances it will lead to much faster availability of your music. But it should wipe out all the old index entries if you've operated the vehicle for any substantial length of time since switching.
