I have recently had to replace my engine after only 119K miles. I love cadillacs and I own 2 of them but I was very disappointed to hear Cadillac's response to why my car suffered a massive failure after only 119K miles....the timing belt just wore out.... What kind of a response is that? I have had my car serviced by a local dealership ever since I bought it and to hear Cadillac tell me that timing chains going after 119K miles was very distressing. I asked them why they didn't have this on their recommended replacement schedule and they said that was their lifetime.
Very disappointed.....I love Cadillacs ,,,, until now.
I am sorry to hear that your timing belt wore out on your SRX. I would be more than happy to look into this situation on your behalf. Please feel free to email me your name, contact info, VIN, mileage, and dealership you have been working with in regard to this concern. You can email me at socialmedia@gm.com with “ATTN GREG” in the subject line. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
I think the OP just wanted to vent, not get feedback, but would like to hear more details so we can help determine what happened.
