    Favorite Buttons lose their memory

On my wife's SRX, the favorite buttons associated with my phone number from her Iphone, along with favorite play lists and artists memorized from the SD card, regularly disappear. I set them for her, then a few times later when either of us use the car, some of the favorite buttons have their number on them instead of what I programmed them to.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I have the same problem with the "Map View". It changes from heading up to North up from time to time for no apparent reason.

Yes, they said to bring the car in. I'll do so when the next oil change is due.

Ok. Just make sure your dealer is aware of the situation fully. Often miscommunication can mess up what should be an easy/routine procedure.

Went into Atlanta last night and the map view had changed back to North Up. I went to the settings page and changed it back to heading up. Any ideas why it keeps reverting back to North up? It did not do this prior to the "Update".

In my car, I can alternates thru the various views just by touching the nav icon. Any chance you are accidentally touching it or someone else is changing it intentionally? Regardless, geting back to the view you prefer is easier that way than going thru settings.

It is news to me that every time I select the NAV icon it changes the map display. What's the point of the SETTINGS if every time you touch the NAV icon it changes your settings? Do any of the other icons change each time they are touched? I understand the menu on the NAV page and that allows me to change the view while using the map but I do not understand the NAV icon changing the view. How would someone select NAV without touching the icon? This sounds like the remote start, seat heat function where the back seats comes on but not the front seats. Maybe Codeman can explain their thinking on some of these puzzling functions.

You aren't understanding. Once you are already displaying the NAV screen, there is still an icon for Nav near the top. If I tap that, it cycles thru the views.

That makes sense since you added that you have to be already on the NAV page for the change of map display to work. I'll give it a try today on the way to take my SRX in for a safety recall. Thanks for the follow up info.

Hoosier is right, that map view function only happens when you are already in the NAV view. The reason for this was to help users with the 'old' way of changing the map view - tapping on the compass icon when you are in NAV. Since we incorporated the compass icon into the NAV icon, this is why this function exists. The other sort of hidden function is that if you have panned the map anywhere, you can also tap the NAV icon up along to top to reset the map back to the car - the same as tapping the RESET button down along the bottom of the screen.

Re: Favorite Buttons lose their memory

This thread drifted from the loss of favorite buttons to NAV specific issues. I’d like to hear from those who have had favorites lost – and especially from those who found a solution.
