CUE Update and Loss of Safety Alert Seat and Comfort and Convenience Options

Had my CUE system updated Friday and a factory recommended seat module replacement. Thanks to this forum I knew to check for the loss of the Safety Seat functionality. Sure enough, only Chime Volume was showing. Dealership was extremely responsive, and called me on the way home to tell me that the seat module would need to be replaced, and they will test that out and then have me return for a quick swap. Is that the solution you guys have had? If not, please let me know so I can tell the dealership and save time. Loss of Auto Memory Recall, Reverse Tilt Mirror and Easy Exit is really having an impact. I like the seat buzzers, but the beeps do the trick as well. Other problems are annoying.

Re: CUE Update and Loss of Safety Alert Seat and Comfort and Convenience Options

I have to say, Miller Brothers Cadillac is fantastic. Last Friday, they called while I was driving home with a possible solution, but wanted to test it first. Today, Monday (first business day after my visit! before noon), they called to confirm the fix and request I bring the car back when convenient for a quick repair. Because this dealership is 22 miles away, I've been using a closer dealership for my 2008 STS service, but Miller shows me the extra miles will be worth the great service. I've switched my preferred dealership now to Miller because I'm so satisfied with the purchase experience and now the service they are providing on the car. It sure seems Cadillac is going out of their way to make us happy. (Now, I just wish I had the announced twin turbo V6 that will be on the 2014! LOL)

Rockville, I'm very pleased to hear your latest update! It's great that you've been satisfied with your experience at Miller Brothers so far, and I'll be sure to document this feedback where the appropriate GM departments can review it.

Re: CUE Update and Loss of Safety Alert Seat and Comfort and Convenience Options

Final update on this issue. Took the car in yesterday and they updated the seat module. We tested it, and all the Comfort and Convenience options were back in the setting menu. But, the settings weren't registering so that auto memory recall worked as expected. We set the #1 memory seat function several times, but when activated, it didn't work. Then they asked Terrance Cox, the CUE Whisperer at Miller Brothers for his advice, and he reset all these functions (deselecting, turning car off, exiting, reentering, reselecting options, then resetting Memory #1). Then all worked perfectly! Again, thanks to Miller Brothers and their expertise, all is well. So, if anyone else has this issue after the CUE update (+ seat module update), that's what you need to do for full functionality. Case closed. Happy camper . . . iPhone 5 is functioning great in the car. I can text and send emails through Siri (gotta push phone button first), calls work perfectly. I'm amazing my young 20-something friends with all of this tech. Now I just need to encourage them to move toward an ATS rather than 3 Series.

Yes. I just picked up my car after having the cue and seat module update. The option is missing now.

I had the same problem after the upgrade. Brought the car back to another dealer ( the original dealer took 7 days to complete update and nothing worked) and he indicated the original dealer did not indicate the car was equipped with safety alert seat during upgrade so that after the upgrade the CUE no longer recognized the safety alert seat. After second upgrade every thing is working perfect.

It all comes down to the dealer you have. Mine is great and stand behind me on every issue.

Picking up my Platinum car today.

    1. How will I know if my car has the latest CUE update?
    2. If it does not, should I get it?
    3. What was the seat memory issue?

    Thanks
