Re: Chrome pics

Direct price not going thru dealer is 900 to 1100 depending on size. They are growing on me. i'm not a chrome guy but on a black car they would look incredible i think.

Re: Chrome pics

Chrome is much easier to clean than painted wheels.

Re: Chrome pics

I would have them done tomorrow if I could figure out how to get them done without propping the car up on jack stands for a few weeks.

A lot of Caddy dealerships will do stock wheel swaps. You give them your wheels and they give you the same wheel chrome. Dealership I use will do it for 1,000.

I blame David for having to buy a set

Kadonny the dealership that has them is Sewell Cadillac of Dallas off of Lemon. Maybe they could ship them to your dealership or something.

Re: Chrome pics

i did learn something and i think it is discussed elsewhere here and that is to make sure of 2 things. That they do a full sanding of the wheel and that they have the size vat for our wheels. Most of the places that do this type work i heard are motorcycle shops w smaller equiptment. FYI...sorry i should not have mentioned the chromies.

Re: Chrome pics

Dont worry about mentioning it, I was already thinking about it.

I need to do it so we can see what it looks like on a black car.

Talking Re: Chrome pics

Kadonny, like you said in a earlier post, when you get settled into the car you will appreciate. I've now been thru a respectable break in period and have nailed it a couple of times and in dsp it is insane accelaration kinda like the cts v but heavier feel. No doubt it is as quick as my cts v....didnt expect that based on some reviews. I now know i did the right thing but will miss the stick every so often. Looks like gas mileage slightly worse....i'm rambling.

Re: Chrome pics

Hehe, told ya! Very nice!

It is as fast as the CTS-V without the effort and done in a stealth fashion. You don't feel like you are moving that fast until you look at the speedometer.

And as I have now about 1500 miles on the car, I am getting better mileage than the CTS-V. I averaged with that car 11.7 and with the STS-V I am in the upper 13's. I tend to drive the STS-V a little more civilized, thus the better gas mileage because it is a very easy car to baby too.

But then there are those times when i put it in sport mode and turn off the traction.....hehe.

David, any experience with manual mode yet?

Re: Chrome pics

Manual is what i meant when i said dsp mistakenly. Yes and it is to me a lot of fun. I know the reviews made fun of the manual mode but my comparison is not from an M5 or M6 but much lesser cars so manual is great to me.
