    12V Power Outlets

There's one inside the center console storage thing and there's one in the coin holder tray. I noticed that both are hot whether the car is in ignition or not. I'm surprised that they have it setup that way. It's annoying having plug/unplug my dash cam power wire everytime I get in/out the car!

There's one for backseat passengers as well on the center console. I worry about this too so I unplug as well.

Yeah, it'd be a great way to kill the battery by leaving something plugged in.

I leave my accy's plugged in all the time without worry. I don't have any hi-drain devices, however. I DISLIKE that other cars have those outlets set to key-on only.

I hate this also. I forgot to unplug the radar at the airport last week and left for four days, came back and was shocked that the car started. Radar was hot as hell, hope that still works!!!!!

Don't these cars shut off unnecessary stuff when they sense battery is going dead. I had my alternator go bad last week an the DIC displayed a message which said battery not charging and the car is in power saving mode. While driving it to the dealer DIC displayed message for Service stabiltrack, ABS and power steering. New alternator in and all is good.

Every time I've seen that message it was already too late. These things need a battery that is about twice as big as the stock one.

Figure out a dual battery setup like the diesel trucks and we will be set.
