Re: Trying to sell my V, is my price nuts?

A couple comp STS-V actual sales in my area (CA) to get an idea of what cars are selling for:

Sold my 06 STS-V about a year ago. Black/tango, 48k miles, perfect condition, just came off CPO warrantee, with a set of custom HRE forged 20" wheels, sold for $24k after being listed for a long time.

Cadillac dealer near me about 6 months ago got an 06 STS-V in on trade that had 5000 actual miles on it! Perfect car, looked like new, they were asking $27k and it sat for a couple weeks before selling.

These cars are definitely a niche market, plus high mileage tends to scare most people away from any car. With the CTS-V2's coming down in price, like an 09 with decent mileage in the mid 30k range now, it's going to push the STS-V pricing down more despite them being great cars - it's just what happens to GM cars.

That's a great deal. I sold my 09 CTS-V with 26k miles on it for $35k to CarMax a few months ago, then they listed it for $39k or so.

I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole unless it was under warranty.

Anything over 100k on a caddy is going to send people running unless it screams deal. I honestly wouldn't pay 12k for one over 100k and I know te cars and am actually looking. 17-18k isn't going to happen. Sorry.

Re: Trying to sell my V, is my price nuts?

I know you weren't in a rush to sell before but I'm getting the vibe you're getting restless. I recommend you not get alarmed and frantic because that's when you lose power. Unless something has come up and you suddenly need to get rid of it ASAP.

Re: Trying to sell my V, is my price nuts?

yea, something did, found a nice truck I want at a screaming price. I've had multiple offers over the last month for 15k and I said ok, and they never even got back to me. I hate selling stuff. CarGurus.com says my price is GREAT. Just frustrating too, I had people interested when I wanted 18, they said my price was too high, now I dropped it LOW and now no ones interested?
