The order bank will open for orders on August 4, according to latest info. The 2005 production is slated for 1,600 cars. The dealers with higher CTS-V and STS sales will be getting more cars allocated than the ones with lower sales. So, for those serious about this car, I would find my spot in line.

The early cars are due to hit showrooms in October, at least that is the current estimate. The orders can be placed the 4th, the first production scheduling will be the last week of August. Since there is generally a six week turnaround time, the timeframe will be October, not September. Sorry.

That is the indication on the production numbers. Harry, we are being told that the XLR-V will follow a similar allocation formula, and it is expected to be in showrooms in November/December time frame. I will keep you posted on that.

Well at least all the speculation should go away once August 4th comes. We'll see final options , color choices and hopefully prices. The forum can then be the subject of a new level of topics!
