re: Looking for Timmy c lower pulley

From what i can find on auto parts sites, k080570 is listed as 57.5". Their website shows it as 57", which makes sense, however. They also list a k080570hd

Sorry, OD is listed as 57.5, effective diameter is 57. I was wondering why the part number would have been misleading...

You should probably back this up with some evidence.

all those who have tim's lower pulley please comment below, i've yet to buy off timmy but from what i've read his stuff is great quality and i'm looking forward to buying some parts off him in the spring time. he's been nothing short of helpful and informative with all questions i've had so far so i doubt his product is causing problems...maybe it's a shitty shop people are taking their cars to to have his parts installed..

Buy his lower pulley and I'll guaranty that it comes off, happened to several, wait for it,wait for it,including Tim,but he never told me until I bought it and it fell off and I questioned.let me be clear, its actually your crank bolt that comes loose which controls your oil pressure and keeps the harmonic balancer/ crank pulley on.and a guy that just joined the forums with a stock sts-v and u want to defend Tim and question me,and I'm trying to help you,do what u want

I think it's great that he's sharing his bad experience. Tim has great stuff but not everything can be perfect. Perhaps it has a default and Tim can fix/improve it to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. I was considering getting the lower pulley but I can't afford to spend money on mods then spend more money trying to fix things that break due to these mods so thanks for the heads up 2007blackbty. Tim, if this is a known issue let us know and let us know when it's fixed because I'll be more than happy to purchase it after the issue has been fixed.

Re: Looking for Timmy c lower pulley

I missed these last few posts, sorry. Most people have been fine after they remove and loctite the balancer bolt. There have been a couple reported problems after that was done so I recommend pinning the balancer now. This is not a fault with the lower pulley ring, it's a defect in the design from Cadillac.
