    STS-V Dyno Numbers

First wanted to say thanks to TimmyC and PGA2B for their help/advice!

Last week I completed installing the TimmyC 2.4 Pulley, 60# Injectors, 85MM Throttlebody, Larger Heat Exchanger, Borla Complete CatBack exhaust and the Spectre Stage 1 & 2 intake.

Then I took the car to Xtreme Motorsports in Tempe Az to have the car Dyno Tuned.

Car made 432 RWHP & 423 RWTQ. Car is making 15.5lbs of boost & the driveability is just amazing!

Car is a complete blast to drive!

Every time I see numbers like these and dyno graphs it just makes me want a V even more.

Why don't you AZ guys swing out to Cars and Coffee this Saturday? We have a pretty decent CTS-V showing. Be nice to see some STS-V's too.

I'll be out there... I brought my ZR1 last time... But I'll bring the STS-V this time.

    Sounds good!

What are those numbers compared to stock? and if you don't mind what was the cost of the parts? and I noticed you didn't mention a computer
flash, that should have netted you several more ponies...I am wanting to do the same thing so I am trying to get a $$ per pony ratio, ya know to
    justify the expense.

As far as I have seen, this car has a terrible hp to monies ratio. A lot if money nets small gains. If you want baby fir your buck, you need an LSx car.

Largely different modification scene with LS I'm not very deep in cash into this car and I'd venture to say I'm top 10 in country in whp numbers easy. Can someone say that was done cheaply with any LS motor?

Like cheap top ten LSx in the country? That's like apples to oranges comparing a large produced engine versus the V. Limited parts, cost, and response to mods makes the V a somewhat harder car to get stupid dyno numbers out of. You can get a stock LS3 auto vette, stall it, and run 11s with slicks. The V was built not to be a race car. It's just different.

    Re: STS-V Dyno Numbers

The LS3 and all the LS motors are bad ass for sure, but to be fair, the Corvette weighs a thousand pounds less than an STS-V and has even bigger tires. I'm pretty sure a stock V would run 11's at Corvette weight.

I ordered most everything from TimmyC... sans the Exhaust & Intake. TimmyC has great products, pricing & Service.

My car is tuned, sorry if I didn't mention that... after installing everything I took it to Dyno Shop for Custom Tuning. Car is driving great, I plan to take it to Friday Night Drags on Jan 17th.

    Thanks,
    Dave
