We Made it to Jalopnik This Morning

Not sure who else is a fellow Jalop reader, but they post up a few old MotorWeek clips a week as a comic homage to the show and past cars. Well this morning we made it. Some interesting comments from true car guys...some who still don't know the car ever exsisted, to guys who can't believe how much of a bad-ass sleeper the car is.

Here's the link to the page which has the old Motorweek clip.

Why is it I can never view their site cleanly. It's all mumle jumbled with text over text.

I looked at it on my phone. There are just as many clueless people in those comments too. "They should've just put 'insert LSx engine here' in it!", "I saw one in green", another wants one in blue!

Yea dooshhammer, they didn't put an LSx in it, because they were marketing an $80k - $90k car towards doctors, lawyers, and others with money, who also consider higher dollar MB's, BMW's, Jags, and other similar cars with butter smooth, silky engines, and want "refinement" in their engines, not a "hot-rod" camming, dry sump, Corvette engine under the hood!

but but but.....AMERICA! haha, yeah - there's a lot of people on that site (and in general) who totally don't understand it. "why not drop the 427 in there? That's got moar powah"
There's a few who understand it was about making a Cadillac and doing it right. And doing it right doesn't always mean making the biggest numbers.

    A Northstar is American too!

I love the LSx motor as much as anyone, I've had 5 of them... It's just not the right engine for the car.
