How hard of a "slam" is it? Mine doesn't exactly ease into 1st. As a matter of fact, 2-1 seems like the least refined gear change.

I think there is a reflash the dealer can do as an update. But I have a custom tune that makes it shift 100% better than stock

You should stop driving it till you can get it fixed that will kill the trans.

I had a wait4me dyno tune but the transmission was out after this. Im thinking its something that can be tuned or a sensor or solenoid fingers crossed

Yep you need a retune and get some one that has tuned the trans in camaro ss gto,s and such. They should be able to fix it.

Can you elaborate? This doesn't come across clearly.
You had or have a wait4me tune? You got it yourself or bought the car with it? No air intake?

It sounds like it could be the computer not getting clear maf readings... Which is a common issue if you have an intake without a sleve or tune... Or if you're running a tune meant for an intake, but no intake installed.

What do you mean with "the transmission was out after this?"

Re: Very irritated, harsh 2nd gear down shift and slam into first!!

I took the car and got it tuned by jesse bubb without an intake, something in the transmission went and was fixed under warranty. I am assuming in the process the trans tune was messed up. The car seemed fine for a few months every now and then doing this, but now itt wont go away. I have noticed that it doesn't usually do it when its cold. Also after I unplug the battery. I put the spectre intake one with the sleeve hoping something would change and it stayed the same.
