So who is really serious about buying one of these cars?

I would love to guage the real interest in these vehicles.

I am myself love the car, but want to see the price point. Is it worth that much more than say the CTS-V or a foreign rival. It is debuting just about the time my A6 lease is up, so timing for me is perfect.

At what price will the STS-V still interest you?

Your question does not bode well for Cadillac if nobody is answering.

    My guess would be $69K.

I remember when the CTS-V was coming out this site was flooded with interest.
So much so that a subforum had to be created because nobody was posting about the
    regular CTS.

    Not happening with the STS-V.

id probably buy one at 69k, assuming I fit in it ok, I've never been in one of the new STS's. anything above that, there is other competition that interests me.

I'd definately buy one, except I don't have $70K laying around.

At 50k, the CTS-V is a success story because it destroys just about all of its competition in the same price category, is easily mod-able and is very appealing. At 70k, id much rather own a lightly used E55AMG, which is already producing a prodigous 469hp before any modification.

    Brett,
STS has surprisingly little front and rear legroom.
I am more comfortable in my SRX.

well, so much for that idea then, my wife's SRX is barely tolerable, so ill assume the STS is out of the picture for me

I finally saw the car in person at the Dallas Auto Show. WOW! That is a fantastic looking Caddy! I am definately interested in buying one. Depending upon where the price ends up, and how business is, I'll probably be looking for a 2007 model.

I'm in the same boat with the room thing. I am a tall person and had hoped the STS would have plenty of room.

Guess thats one more thing I will have to check on, but I am still serious about this car, once again depending on price range.

How can Caddy not have enough leg room in the STS? Thats insane.

I'm 6'1. To me there was absolutely no problem with front seat leg room. There is pleanty. It is a very comfortable design. The back seat is where it's closer. If the front seat is pushed back for lots and lots of room, then the rear seat can be cramped. If the front passengers go a little easy on how far back they go, then the back is really pretty nice. I ran the numbers a while back on the STS's key competitors, and the STS was larger than the others by an inch or two in the back seat area. (5 series, E class, etc)

I'm 6'2" and I found the STS to have more leg room that most cars. It is one of the few cars made that I do not need to have the seat at the end of the seat rails to be confortable. Much more room that say a Escalade

Thank you, I am in the 6'1 6'2 range, sounds like the front leg room is fine.

I could care less about the rear leg room, thats someone elses problem

Just kidding. Mostly my kids sit back there, so leg room is not a big a deal in the back.

I'm 6'8" so I know what I am talking about when I say one car has more legroom than another. LOL.

I do not think buyers of the STS-V are the typical, chat-room crowd we have here.. They will not answer, and probably have never seen this site..
