I'd appreciate any suggestion regarding a car cover (brand, type etc). I need to keep my car outside for now, but don't have any experience with car covers. Thanks guys

I'd stay away from sandpaper if you can.

Do you think I'm better off without any cover? Some have fleece on inside. Any experience anyone?

I would be careful because ive read a lot of stories where people talk about swirl marks from covers. Good luck with whatever you do. Maybe depending on your situation you could get a pop up garage for a single car in could drive into

I only use my cover inside my garage. My two Siamese cats love to sit on a newly washed Black Raven...

    Re: Car cover

I would not use any if it was me. I had three black cars at one time and the covers even in the gurage did more damage than good. You open a door and the wind would blow in and dust would get under the cover and put swirls in the paint. And these were custom fit $200+ covers.

    Re: Car cover

Hmm this is a bit of a dilemma for me as well. When I move back to ny I will be garage-less for quite a while. There's got to be something out there that is safe for the paint and probably pretty heavy duty. Probably going to have to pay top dollar for it.

It's called good wax 2-3 times a year. And tint the windos.

    Re: Car cover

I subscribe to both of those tips. I wax twice a year and I am tinted for interior protection. Still you can't beat garaging the car. Oh well I guess it has to live in the elements for a while. Ill research a good car cover.

    Re: Car cover

The cover I bought on line only had two eyelets at the bottom to tie it down, heavy wind kept blowing the cover half off. Six eyelets should be a minimum not two.

    Re: Car cover

The issue with eyelets is that they tie the cover in place and allow the cover to sand the paint instead if just flitting with the wind

Thanks, Torched10. I was looking at that same cover few days ago but wasn't sure. Some things are just too good to be true. I guess I will go with it. Also thinking about getting one of those tents for driveway in lieu of cover.

    Re: Car cover

If you are not going to wash the car every time you put the cover on it you'll end up with more paint damage than if you left it uncovered.

Cuz it'll rub the dirt around the paint. True that
