We got the emails and the phone calls. You want D3 STS-V Sport Lowering Springs for your Cadillac. We are happy to announce we have started another production run for the Cadillac STS-V and STS application. Limited quantities will be produced, so please make sure you get your order in ASAP. STS/STS-V sport lowering springs will be available for shipping and installation early September. Please contact your local D3 authorized retailer or sales rep to ensure you get a set of sport springs before they are all gone.
When I spoke to them they said they have a list they go down based on when you told them you wanted the springs. If you were on the list and haven't got a call then you probably just haven't got the call YET.

It is the way customer service in America is these days. All about the dollar. I would rather pay a little more to deal with a company that has good customer service.
What a waste. I even bought one of their acc grilles for my fathers car which needed 2 hours of clean up before painting and still looks like a 4th graders art project.
Anyone have a set of stock V springs willing to sell? I'd rather at this point give my money to a forum member rather than a company which clearly just screwed me for no reason. Least I didn't give them my cc # yet.
They are as overpriced as SLP but at least SLP delivers on their word and a quality piece at that...
Mr. 1BadCadSTS. I can assure that is not how we do business contrary to the 2 cent offerings that are being lobbed into this post.
Our sales team contacted everyone on the list from top to bottom. We left messages or sent emails. Some people responded, some people answered. However we did have to leave messages and some emails did not get responded to. If we did not hear back from them in a reasonable time, we moved on to the next person. As of right now we have (3) sets of springs unsecured because customers did not call back and verify their information. We are sorry that your order was not filled. For those that did not respond or still want springs, we have already moved them up to the top of the list for the next production run that will be air freighted into the US.
I would recommend you call us ASAP if you want springs. 562-595-8518 please ask for Ro or Greg.
This forum isn't a 2 cent peanut gallery, this forum is where your reputation is maintained. That being said.
You should contact the forum member 1BadcadSTS directly and get him a set of springs. You can private message him. He obviously wants the springs, and you have them for sale on eBay. So you obviously have a set. So do the simple thing that makes the most sense and also will make your company look like you care about the people who want to buy your products. Just message him, say you're sorry things got lost in the shuffle and take his money so you can get him a set of lowering springs. It's a simple solution to an uncomplicated problem.
Your "sales team" seems to be the weak link in your company, this is a consistent theme that has been expressed on this forum since I joined in 09'. Perhaps you should address it...
I get emails directly to my phone and I can assure you not one attempt was made to reach me. Had there of been said issue I would assume contact could of been made here through the forum as I have constantly touched base in this thread constantly looking for an update.
I attributed my bad experience with my D3 grille as to it being a custom fabbed piece and doesn't go through the quality control that SLP or E&G does for their products. However to completely blow off someone who had requested to be notified when I could spend my money with your company and be skipped over is ridicules after waiting as the promised due day came and went by nearly a month!
As I said congrats to those who were able to actually have D3 follow through with their word but now being burned twice by your company I would rather give my money to a forum member and buy their stock V springs for the better handling I was going for than invest any more with D3.
We are sorry you feel that way. The company actually changed hands a few years back, so things are much different now. However if you feel that strongly about it, that is fine. We can remove your name from the list and contact someone else who is waiting for the products. Thank you for your participation, we are sorry things did not work out the way we all expected.
With all due respect to 1BadCadSTS, I'm still interested. Call me a sucker, call me an optimist, I'd really like to get my V lower and D3 appears to be the only game in town for these cars.
With that being said, I won't be able to afford them till after Christmas - priorities, :sigh:. So what's the time frame looking like for the next production run? 1BadCad - if I get D3 springs I'd be happy to set you up with my V springs once I've got them swapped out, I'd give em to you for a steal.

I have to agree with choigilligan on this.
The reputation D3 has is very low which is really disappointing as the appearance of most of the products made looks good.
A weak sales team that appears to over-promise and under-deliver plus constantly missing shipment targets and charging significantly more than what the competition does for the few products that are shared between your product lines and others.
The amount of Cadillac Owners that are members of this site and all the non-member guests that visit this site while performing research should be something of a concern for your company.
Word of mouth and in this case internet research has a large effect on what sales you may and may not see.
Ultimately:
You are offering 3 sets of springs on eBay, yet 1BadCadSTS who has been very present relating to the springs fell under your radar quite easily.
It would have been really simple to make a post on the forum or send him a PM to let him know that the springs were finally available.
Instead you chose to ignore him for a while, perhaps you did this on purpose since he has called out D3 on several occasions due to previous issues he has personally had with D3 regardless of any ownership changes that may have happened; you have just proven that those changes didn't mean anything or improve the quality of D3 as a whole.
I may not have purchased any goods from D3 and based on the reputation of the company that I've seen is reason enough for me to not consider purchasing any products from your company.
You may also want to consider implementing a design in your website that makes navigation effective and usable, perhaps offer an online store, or at the very least link to eBay where one could buy the product they are wanting.
Photos of the actual product that is shipped would also be desirable for anyone that is interested in purchasing, not just installed photos but the actual tangible item on its own and multiple angles of it installed as well would be beneficial.
While I understand the STS and XLR are out of production by GM but the cars still exist on the roads and prices are becoming low enough that some of the younger crowds that can now afford to enter the Cadillac Market by picking up a used XLR / STS at a much lower cost than new are going to be looking for some aftermarket products to use. You should still be offering the full range of body accessories for the STS and XLR line for as long as feasible, it seems like a very poor business decision to destroy molds of products you have created when you could have just as easily kept them around to produce parts as needed.

I've tried to get D3 to sponsor my car, but gave up for just this reason. I submitted a proposal whereby I could bring expose to the brand to XLR, STS, and CTS owners in the thousands and never heard from them. I am a presence at so many XLR and Cadillac events that since I have the most raced XLR in attendance, I am continually bombarded with questions on where to get aftermarket accessories for the car. All I can tell them is to scour the scrap yards and eBay for the occasional used parts. The XLR community has seen a threefold increase in new owners and these "younger" owners want to dress up their vehicles. One is planning to drive out to D3 and try to get them to build him a widebody kit, while most just want headers, springs, and the blade wing. All I can tell them is "they used to be made by D3." At our last XLR event, we had 38 cars in attendance and another 30 watching the event via the internet. There's no telling how many intakes, headers, and accessories could have been sold at just that event had D3 sponsored a rep to attend.... then again, without any inventory - you can't sell what you don't have. D3 does a great job supporting the Cadillac Racing team at the Cali events, but the events I attend (St Petersburg, Mid-Ohio, Road Atlanta, Houston) there's no presence - another lost opportunity.
As a point of reference, Corsa is making a killing on XLR cat-backs because their only competition, Billy Boat Fusion, is a one-off custom, pay in advance and wait 2 months nightmare that they don't advertise. I know 8 customers personally that bought Corsas in the last 6 months because they either didn't know about the Billy Boats or were turned off by the wait time. And half, if not more, would have added headers if they were available. Hell for a while they were bidding on mine (I picked up a pair off eBay in May for install this winter). The bidding was frantic trying to get me to sell them at our last event.
Bottom line, the demand will only go up over the next couple years. I would expect Cadillac to introduce a new XLR in 2016, but until then these kids want to modify their new toys.
Hell, I got asked just yesterday by a new XLR owner, "Where can I get some performance mods?"
well not trying to be a jerk to guys on here that haven't got springs yet but overall very impressed with ride height and ride quality of the springs im sure they will settle a little more slightly but not bad at all. caught more hell trying to get alignment right than installing them lol
Very nice. Love what you've done with it by the way. I'm going with blue calipers soon. Springs came in a couple nights ago. Installing them on Saturday.
