You're going to be buying a 7 year old performance car....give that some thought before rushing into an STS-V with 100k miles. It's pretty awesome but it's not worth going hungry over. An example of things I've had to buy:

Tires: plenty of talk about them on the forum - a decent set will cost $1000 minimum.
Wheel Bearings: I've gone through three, all under warranty. Price to fix at the dealership: $714 each (the part itself is like $250 online if you're mechanically inclined)
Brakes: They're actually Cheap! I think i did all four for like $400ish
Headlight: $1300 installed. The absolute best price I saw on a sealed headlight was like $760 when i called RippyPantsDept
Oil Change: $75 worth of oil from Walmart...because the damn thing takes 9.3 quarts.
I agree with the sentiment and the prices except for the headlight and wheel bearings. used headlights are pretty cheap on eBay but they may fog up thus defeating the purpose.

1300 for the part and labor at the dealer is right on the money though.

I guess I do sound a little cheap when I talk on here "fretting". I have just found an STS-V this is priced right and currently having it inspected before I make a move. I would just rather pay to fix this caddy rather than a MB. I do not have a problem paying 1000 for tires, I have done that a few times with my EVO X and Mustang. I'm just looking for a nice car that is rare and powerful. I intend on keeping both of my other cars, I think its time for a more refined luxury car. But you are right, and I do appreciate the input.
