    Hood

Anyone know where I can buy an STS-V hood for a reasonable price? Salvage with a couple dings would be ok. The car is in the body shop anyway.
Any input would be much appreciated!!!!

Well guys, I've been posting all the in-progress pics in the Non-V forum since my car is not a V, but I figured I'd throw a couple pics up now that all the body & paint is finished & see what you guys think.

    The mods are as follows:
    1. Completely smoothed rear bumper
    2. Wide bodied rear 1/4's by 2 inches each side
to be able to tuck the 315/25/22's
    3. Fabricated a 1-off functional Cowl Ind. hood
    4. All lights except front are Blacked Out.
    5. I seperated the H/L & F/L Assy's to paint the
chrome housings gray to match the body.
    6. I seperated all 4 corner marker lights &
installed a 9 LED strip to replace single 194
    bulb
    7. E&G mesh upper & lower grills
    8. Complete repaint of the Dark Tarnished Silver
    9. Painted the grill, hood, wipers/cowl, roof, &
    trunk in Black Diamond
    10. CTS-V coupe muffler.
    11. 22x12 rears, 22x9 fronts with P-Zero's
    12. Lowered 2.5 inches all the way around

That's all I can think of at the moment but I'll post more with all the appropriate pics as I go. Finishing the interior is next on the list!!

Let me know what everybody thinks. Positive & negative comments are welcomed as long as they are tactful. Lol, it is my car & I know not everybody agrees with getting this crazy.

I see the pics. I think it looks cool. Not sure I like the exhaust tips hanging that low. Seems like you need a cut out in the bumper and to raise them.

Can we see some nighttime pics of the LED headlamps?

It's weird but after you click on the thread, you have to then click on my actual text in the thread & the pics will then pop up.

    Re: Hood

Very nice. You already know how I feel about that hood though. I also second carter. When you were talking about doing this I thought there was going to be a cutout in the bumper for the exhaust to sit up in.

I see it now. The hood seems a little too ... not STS. How did you squeeze those tires in there? Looks mean!!

    Re: Hood

He had the fenders flared out to accommodate wider tires. Custom work. Very cool.

I have to take it to the exhaust shop Monday morning so we can raise the muffler & then right back over to the body shop to notch the bumper.

I don't have a pic of the LED markers in the car yet but here's the in-progress pics of that mod.

Luv the colors, I think a v series hood will do you justice, a more substantial bumper will be needed to compliment your exhaust, your rear fenders AWESOME!

    Re: Hood

more subtle hood and cutout for exhaust ....may be two exhaust tips on each side something like DTS to differentiate from regular STS
