The ACDelco cheaper parts are not exactly the same ... they're made to the same specs but don't go through all the same quality checks and probably don't have the exact same materials on the pads

that said i wouldn't have a problem suggesting them as an option for those looking to save their wallet a bit

I hit a raccoon at 60mph. Knocked out a fog light. I was quoted $1800 in labor to take off front bumper not including any parts or paint. Service rep told me it takes over an entire day to take off front bumper. What a joke ill never be back. I also take my car to a friends local shop now.

Did the water leak get fixed?

Mine was the reverse lights seal not being good enough.
I popped them off and used a 2 sided foam tape to put a "proper" seal in place.

Other people have said their leaks were from the 3rd brake light.

The problem still exists. My left reverse light seems to have a little moisture in it so I'll investigate and get back to you. Two sided foam tape. Autozone? or hardware store?

I just got some 3M tape from Walmart but I assume that the auto part store would have some too. About 3/4" wide with red backing on it. Applied the tape directly to the car after a good cleaning of the area. Then carefully put the reverse light back in making sure to get a good seal / pressure on it.

Fwiw GM knows this is an issue point as the GM China SLS has adhesive backed LED reverse light housings to create a better seal.

2x 10mm nuts and one of each side has a metal lock washer that you have to pry off that prevents you from getting the nut off.

Hey Guy, were you able to re-seal those reverse lights?
If so have you seen any more leaking?

Re: Horrible experiences with the dealer! Care to share?

Nah haven't gotten around to it. Plus this weekend I'm moving so it might not happen this weekend but ill try to squeeze it in. I'll definitely close that out on this thread when I do. As a matter of fact ill bring back the original thread and put a link to it on this thread in case someone in the future has the problem.
