My NAV unit did that once and I ejected the NAV DVD and it came back to life. Not saying that will work for you. I considered myself very lucky. I thought it was a goner.

I have been reading some articles and tried ejecting anything. The NAV disc or the CDs don't budge.

Might try rebooting the system. Disconnect the negative battery cable for a few minutes, then reconnect it. Worth a try.

UPDATE: I smacked the dash directly above the radio today and it came on. IT'S ALIVE!!

anyway, should I still take it in? Is it worth the warranty deductible?

Depends on what your deductible is.

If you can take it anywhere you want go to Kachina and talk to Dan. He will have Mark work on it.

    Hello ChurchSTSV,

I am happy you were able to get your radio to turn on again. I am sorry you have been experiencing this issue with your vehicle. I recommend taking it into a dealership to be checked out, because they can provide you with proper diagnosis on whether or not the issue needs to be fixed. I hope you have a great night!

    Sincerely,

    Laura M.

I would, but I've worked at dealership service before. If it works, it will just be an NPF. I'll wait until it goes inop again.

Solution found! Got a call from the dealer letting me know there was some shorts in the radio harness. Haha! If I get more details from the tech I will share.
