I don't know why, but the V feels like it should be faster. It's hard to describe I know. But it feels like a car with this much power should get up and go a little better. Am I weird? Is it left over feeling from the GTO?
Also, does putting the car int sD do anything or is it my imagination.

It would be faster if it wasn't so heavy. Mine weighs over 4400lbs with me in it.
Sport mode is not much different than regular mode with the factory transmission settings.

I think Mine feels really fast, but I guess it's relative. It's the fastest car I've had. Sport mode is supposed to delay shifting up and I think I can tell. Also Competitive Driving Mode will help if you're having Stability Control kick in from off the line. That's gotten me before.

Not yet. I would love to hear it. I've seen videos but haven't even seen another v in rear life.

Till you get a cai you can take the mufflers/silencers out of the intake so you can hear the blower better. Its not as loud as the cai but in the mean time it's fast and free to do.

How exactly do you do that? What exactly is it you're removing and how? Novice here. Thanks.

remove the y section of the intake from the back piece that goes into the TB. at the back of that section you can see the two big bulky pieces of the piping. once you remove that section from the back TB section you will see the baffles, just pull them out and put it all back together. VERY easy.

I get to go fast on the Autobahn in Germany and I have always thought it is has fabulous acceleration. Accelerating from 100 MPH to say 140 MPH, (faster than 140 the hood really starts to shake, vibrate, and make me nervous), going up hill is very quick. Of course the instant fuel consumption says something like 3 MPG. Peter

I'm in agreement with Willits; this car isn't "unbelievable" fast off the line. But mashing the pedal at 55mph, you start ticking off 10mph increments really really quickly.

After I put on my CAI, my brother-in-law thought is was a siren going off when he was driving in front of me. kind of funny. I absolutely love hearing the supercharger whine.

well the GTO weighs 3800lbs with 400 hp stock--the v weighs 4400 lbs at 469---1oolbs equals 0.1 sec in qtr mile, so youd be faster by 0.7 secs.But the GTO has 70 less p, and 10hp equals ).1 sec, so the v pics up 0.7 on hp difference.So theyd be even unless the gearing is different in tranny and rear end. Mymemory of the GTO is that it came with 3:55 gears, dont know about vBottom line top end V would have it, off the line GTO would be quicker
