    Re: aftermarket warranty

i always go with the car maker warranty now--- had a major isue between Jaguar dealer and the oftermartket warranty on a major bill--too much hassle--if you get the Caddy warranty its alot easier IMHO

I agree GMPP is the way to go, years ago I had a aftermarket warranty that the selling dealer said was backed by GM or GMPP and it was excellent while being considerably cheaper but can't remember the name, that was about 10 Years ago

    Re: aftermarket warranty

Dave, because your car is an 06 I don't think you can put a GM warranty on it. Check with Allen Black at Black Cadillac. They're very knowledgeable, have good prices, and may be able to suggest some other options. If I couldn't get a CPO or GMPP, I would probably pass on the 3rd party stuff. Just my opinion. Your choice.

I got a GMPP when I got my V not too long ago, but it was under CPO at the time. And I got it at the time I bought the car. But its an 06.

    Re: aftermarket warranty

cant use black cadillac because we live in florida.

3.) Florida Residents CANNOT purchase a GMPP from our dealership. Florida state law requires you to purchase a GMPP or any extended warranty if you reside in Florida at MSRP (not at lower and not higher price). The ONLY exception to this rule is if you have a home in another state we can sell you a discounted GMPP if you use your NON-Florida address (proof of residency is required – example; copy of electric / phone bill)

    That sucks

Makes you wonder who our state lawmakers are working for....guess I already knew that one. Have you priced Val Ward & DeVoe? Probably best to be sitting down when they tell you the price.
