Lane Departure and Blind Spot Install

How hard would it be, or even possible, to install Blind Spot and Lane Departure on an '06 STS-V? I think those are two good options to have. Any ideas/ Thanks.

Easiest reference is to compare an 08 to 06. Ud need the lane departure hardware which I'm sre u could purchase for an 08 car. Id guess the mirrors since that's typically how they show u thewarning. Anything can be done..

i havent seent he blind spot in an stsv, i just know that for the most part they work off sensors on the car and it shows in the mirror. that doesnt change the adaptibility of them regaurdless though.

It's probably going to be way more work than it's worth but if you do try it make sure you do a thread about it. I'd be interested to see how it goes. I'd be more interested in a backup camera that works without using a lockpick. These things are ridiculously hard to see out of backing up.

They are expensive and I don't need to watch movies while driving so I have no need for one.

Well maybe mine needs to be serviced...sometime they won't light up at all.

Re: Lane Departure and Blind Spot Install

Both mine will light up at the same time if needed, although the driverside is much more sensitive. It will sometimes come on when driving in the left lane of a highway due to the guardrail that is a shoulder away. I'm not sure if the driverside is designed to be more sensitive to due blind spots.
