heres my guess as to cooling--the cooled seats are much thicker to allow the cooling to be inseerted into the cushion. So itd affect seat height etc--i have a 2011 EXT which has cooled seats and my 2003EXT didnt, and the 2011 seats, besides being less comfy and soft, are thicker---the V seats are pretty unique and i figure they thought it wasnt worth it

Nope, no cooled on the 09 V's but I thought when you got the suede inserts on a top level regular late model STS you got heated and cooled?

I didn't think any STS-V's had cooled seats because the inserts.

I can do up. No down, or roof.

Is there anyway to program they car to do things like that? I use to be able to do that with my Audi by connecting it up though the obd II port.

not sure wasnt even sure if many knew it rolled up with fob I had a 05 sts with cooled seats but I dont think it had suede inserts. I only had it for 3 months before I bought the STSV missed the power coming from a cts-v 1st gen.

I'm probably stepping in it deep, but...

The XLR-V and STS-V share a number of similarities as does the XLR and Corvette. I'd be willing to have boomys10 borrow my Window Valet to see if it will work on the STS-V bus.

lol. all about the little things these days. i wouldnt be suprised if the car CAN do it, just have to make it want to. typically if the windows can be controlled at all tehy can be controlled in total. i really just dont ahve time to mess with it for a few weeks on my side, but will look into it for sure.

Found some pictures that relate to this.

This looks like someone's 08+ STS-V it has suede inserts that are perforated but no ventilated seats as indicated by hvac controls.

I found this that looks like a rendering of one that is 07 or older (but the file name claims its 08) that has ventilated seats on the hvac controls.
Cannot tell if those are the suede inserts or not but they are perforated.

On a side note, I wish my STS had that wood trim rather than the Sepael (sp??) wood that I have.
The images are really large and CF is scaling them down, you may want to right click and open image in new tab to see full size for detail.
