    Differential Bushing Replacement

I believe this topic has come up before but I couldn't find it using the search tool.

Has anyone replaced their own diff bushings before and could they give a breakdown of the project? I know the shop manual says to completely remove the diff but I have seen tools online that allow you to just drop it and replace while under the vehicle. I am on my second set now with the car and it is due again...this time no warranty though and it is tough to stomach $700 in labor for a $40 part install. Also, does anyone make poly inserts for these instead of rubber? Thanks in advance.

Check the first gen CTS-V forum. They have the same diff. There is a poly insert.

Thanks, yea found a couple of guys that have done it. Looks like a pita but definitely worth it to save $700 and do it yourself so that you can use the aftermarket poly bushing.
