I looked into that when I worked at StreetSide and it was not cost effective. You can try it and see what it would cost.

Horse Power costs, however there is a line to cross when adding hp to a car... if its a driver you may have to leave some on the table.... I already have a dedicated race car.... so no I would not be interested...

I would think there are more cost effective ways to add power. If you had an LS-based engine that'd be a different story.

Yea beating V2's could be tough they have more cubic inches, a lighter car, and no govenor, plus it doesnt take much to get them over 600hp... you have an uphill battle to say the least...

Not really looking to best a havily modded one. Maybe a tuned one, nothing to crazy. Lol. If I really wanted to do that id buy one and spend to much modding it. I love my sts, just want to see what options are available for relible power with that cause in mind. It appears cams are out. Now, going to call eaton about a new supercharger. Lol

I see your point however a lightly modified V2 makes over 600hp... there's no replacement for displacement... cubic inches rule even with forced induction..... its all in fun though...

Re: comp cams.. what do you think?

My stsv runs with stock to mild Ctsv 12.1@114. Was talking with some cts-v owners the other day a the one said after a fue tries he was able to run a 12.1 also. Most from what I see at the track run 12.5-12.3 with a good driver. With a great driver a biger tires I have seen a stock car run 11.8. But I'm happy with my 4700lbs car runing 12.1 with a 1.89 60ft. A 1.79 and I'm in the 11,s. Want to make big power with this car have deep pockets and be prepared to brake things.
