Remote Start Works When It Wants To

Remote start on both fobs are intermittent. I checked the batteries they are good. All of the other functions work fine. BTW, I'm about half way through reading all of the STS-V post. Just got an '06 a couple of weeks ago, love it.

I'm assuming you hit lock first? Hit lock, hold start for 4 seconds or so.

I've noticed with mine, I need to be a certain distance away from the vehicle.

On a previous vehicle I had issues with my FOB if I was downtown Chicago. Anywhere else, it worked great.

If the weather is nice out why would the car need or want to be warned up? I would guess that the temp is already fine and the car thinks you are being special by wanting to start it

Because it is 95 degrees here. It also works with AC.

Yes. It even flashes the parking lights.
