    Re: Cadillac STS-V Performance Modifications

Well we can set it up for Mod vs $$

    The usual mods are:

    Air Intake
    Exhaust
    Tune

    Then more advanced mods are:

    Heat Exchanger
    Intercooler Pump
    Injectors
    Pulleys
    Super Chiller
    Porting and Polishing Supercharger
Cams (We have not explored this yet, but we will I bet)

    Appearance:

    Tint
    V2 Shift Knob
    Lowering Springs
    Wheels
    V Logo Oil cap

Thank you. And I agree - mod vs money makes sense. I know we have some people coming here to find out exactly what type of bang for buck mods they can get on their STS-V. For example, it would be good to know how much buys a 0-60 / 1/4 mile time of X...

The TCFab stage one 10% overdrive pulley has been proven to increase rwtq by 30 ft/lbs and sells for $199 parts-only or $329 installed on your snout.

I also will add that Pictures are great. Like for tint people can show the difference on the cars with 50-5% tint. That goes with the wheels (where to buy), exhaust maybe links to sound clips, CAI (where to buy), Tune.

Along with this I do think that having a sticky of common issues with these cars would be a great thing to add. That seems to be the first thing people ask when looking at buying this car. If it is easier to have people PM you with what they think should go on it then go from there vs trying to go through peoples post on this thread.

I think this can get some legs under it. Seeing what people can get out of each mod, different combinations people have used, etc... GREAT idea!

So I got a Spectre intake for $425 (though I've heard it's got a fire-sale price of $250 now???) and a tune from Redline Motorsports in Schenectady, NY for another $425. I'm plenty happy with the results. I wanted the car to pull from 30-100 like a freight train and does it ever! I don't have a pre-intake dyno sheet so I don't know the gains I got over stock but I'm satisfied with the outcome for $850. My car's windows are tinted, but not that dark. They are a good deal harder to see into at night than during the day. Personally, I like a dark tinted car and I know it would look great on this car..

Snake Bite is a mod available to us, too, although it is definitely extreme, kinda like TimmyC's twin turbo.

    Re: Cadillac STS-V Performance Modifications

Thanks, everyone. Maybe we can even get some ideas on how to get to a specific area of performance. From what I understand, the STS-V does 0-60 in about 4.8 seconds and the quarter mile in about 13 seconds. Is that correct? What are real world numbers?

Then, what mods, for what price, will get you to (enter number(s) here)...

No shit....You from the capital region? I live right outside of albany. Redline closed shop and moved down south last I heard. They arent well liked in the local car community

    the best I have done in a quarter is 12.9@ 103 with a 1.9 60'

    mods at the time were:
    exhaust
    tune
    Driver
BFGoodrich Gforce KDW2 in the rear.

That was at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown Tx about 2 years ago. car has since broken differential and I dare not take it to track again hahaha...
