Is there a way to intentionally lock the fob inside the car?

I've tried to read the manual but I just don't get it. I have a 2006 STS-V and need to pick the car up from the mechanic after hours. Is there a way he can lock the fob inside the car and I can use a second set to open it later? It seems that when I try to test it the fob inside the car allows anyone to open the door.

I don't know if this is true, but the dealer told me how to shield a fob. If you open the center console/armrest there is a little slot behind the aux power outlet. Supposedly, if you put the fob in that slot it will shield it.

Well then whenever I would walk into your dealer, I would start hiking up my pants cause the bull**** is getting thick. Actually that's the slot to use if the FOB has a weak battery or if the car is having trouble reading the FOB.

I locked my fob in the car once by opening the drivers side door and opened the hood then shut the door. Walked around opened the passenger side door then closed it then after I closed the hood. All the doors were locked.
