STS V Navigation Systems

I have an 06 STS V and purchased a PACuPAC STS iPod interface.designed for
an 07 STS V.
It would seem that the two years in question (06-07) are not the same
question is how are they difference and are the 07 Nav HU interchangable
with an 06 <Plug & Play> I wonder if anyone has any experence with this.

How are they "not the same"?

They might be different part numbers but the system should be set up the same way.
I don't know of any changes between those model years.
