STS-V Warranty Extension

My 2006 is under warranty till May 2012 do any of you guys gonna extend the warranty on your STS-V? BMW wanted like $4,200 to extend the warranty of my 745 for an extra 3 years!!! Does GM charge these same prices?

I know I am covered now but time flies when you drive a STS-V

Mine already has 6 years / 100K miles with the car. I don't think GM will extended it beyond that and I'm not going with anything other than the GMPP. Plus I would say the odds are the car will be traded in or sold before that decision point would come up.

The 06's are only a 50,000 mile warrenty right?

Yes that's the standard warranty duration.

They are all 4yrs/50,000 but '07 and up have drivetrain warranty of 5yrs/100,000

Certified cars are 6yrs/100,000 from the original delivery date and they charge anywhere from $600.00 - $1200.00 for certification, depending on the dealer or the DEAL.

I received a notice from GM for my '06 saying that if I wanted the extended warranty I would have to purchase it before mid November 2008. I have a low mileage STS-V and when I plugged in the dates and mileages, I found that at the present rate of putting miles on it, I would only extend my warrantee about 6 months for about $3200. Obviously I opted out of that one and now I am going to try to find a private one before the factory warranty runs out in April of 2010.
