I haven't acquired an '08 ACTUAL STS keyfob as of yet - So I think our conclusive test is at a little bit of a stalemate at the moment.

Reading thru the other thread I think important info is the frequency used... this info is printed somewhere on the FOB itself.

On my 2007 a 2008+ FOB works.
Don't have a 2006 or 2007 to compare.

Here are the numbers from the 2008
GM/S 25854935
Fcc ID m3n5wy7777a
ic 267f-5wy7777a

Was able to program three of them without dealer assist going by the manual proceedure.
