D3 ECU Install - HELP!

Remove this ad
Does anyone have instructions or can tell me how/where to install the D3 ECU for their stage 1.5 package? The package arrived today (Saturday) with no instructions of any kind and of course D3 doesn't work on weekends. Thanks in advanced!

Thumbs up Re: D3 ECU Install - HELP!

D3 ECU Installation-Revised

"D3 recommends installation of the ECU box below the intake air filter in the area just behind the driver's side fog lamp assembly. This area stays much cooler than the previous mounting location next to the air filter. Mounting the air filter in the new location will help to prevent any heat-related issue with the ECU box. We typically mount our ECU boxes with zip ties to the wire harness that runs along the frame rail. This provides for a cooler mounting location and the box is still high enough that water should not be able to contact the ECU box. Thank you for your business!"

Re: D3 ECU Install - HELP!

Thanks for the feedback! I found a nice spot along the fender so hopefully it will be ok. I just installed the intake (stage 1 &2) along with the ECU today (no cat back system yet). I love the blower whine and it feels like it pulls a little harder now too. I'm headed to the track tomorrow so we'll see how she runs.

Thank you and I'm glad you got everything installed this weekend. Let us know how your car does at the track.

Re: D3 ECU Install - HELP!

hey Craig - incase you didn't see the other thread, I managed to squeeze off a 12.73 @ 107.99 (I have pics of my timeslips in my album). I think I could have launched a little harder off the line since the track was very sticky. But after reading about the broken axle in another thread in this forum, I decided to call it a day when I hit 12.73. Conditions were over cast and air temp was a balmy 42-ish, or so the car said (not sure how that was possible since we saw a few snow flakes at times). I also yanked the wheel sensors and dropeped the air pressure to 20psi - did some nice smokey burn outs before each run which seemed to help.
