I figure we can go back to car now that we have moved of the top of the mountain and we still have a 2500 sububran to tow with and use in the snow....
After having over $150K in total warranty claims on a 3 different mercedes, and well ill not bother to mention my bmw problems over the years, i thought i might give a STS-V a shot. It seem like it has pleny of room for two car seats and show be plenty quick for the wife... and well it would look good next to the other GM stuff lol...
Looking on E bay, cars, and auto trader it seem some 06 models are a lot cheaper than others. Granted ive seen 06's listed in high $50's right beside 08's..... On the other hand ive seen some high 20K mile low 30K miles 06 in the mid $30's..... Figure cant go wrong with that...
My question is, Should a man skip a 06, and go for a 07-08, or get a 06 and look for extended warranty. Id like to have the 5Y 100K mile deal, mainly because my luck sucks lol... The wife only drives about 10K miles a year so the mileage is not a big deal..
So let me know what you all know.
Also this "raven black" Vs "black" whats the difference. Ive seen raven cars that appear to be gray, and ive them that look black.... |

What can it hurt? Buy the V and enjoy it.
As for raven black....its black. The STS-Vs are offered in Platinum (silver) and Raven Black (Black)

There's not too much difference between the years. 07s have slightly easier controls for the memory seat programming, and 08s got a new steering wheel, Heads-Up Display, Lane Departure/Side Blind Zone alert and "vents" on the front fenders. Make sure to get a Certified unit with the 100k warranty- it's worth every extra penny.
Good luck in your hunt!

I purchased my '06 with 12086 miles on it 3 weeks ago tomorrow in Stealth (Thunder) gray.. Even though its only been driven a about 500 miles (on vacation and back) I am nothing more than pleased all PCM's updates had been done, no rear diff leak or whine, I did have the creaky drivers seat fixed 100k warranty.. even though the years will be up before the miles i'm sure. GM even honored the NAVDisc updates. My car wasn't purchased until 6/27/07 in Mt. Pleasant SC -- not sure what happened but it ended up at a dealership in Columbia, and I had it transferred here... I paid 39k for it -- Still even smells new on the inside.. |

I dont know if you are interested in assuming a GMAC lease, but I have an 08 I bought like 7 months ago and am looking to find a person to assume the lease thur GMAC. I hate having to get rid of it but wife got laid off a bit ago and trying to cut some costs : (. I put alot of cash down and the car is in perfect condition. Always garaged and never raced. I am offering a cash incentive to the buy that would cover any shipping of the car if your not in FL. Anyways below is a link I have here for it. http://www.cadillacforums.com/cadill.../cat/25/page/1
It is an 08 with all the new stuff. New Key Fob, heads-up and fender vents. Let me know if you have any questions or if you might be interested. Have a good one.
Thanks

Stealth Gray is not Thunder Gray. Stealth Gray was offered only in 06. They dropped Stealth Gray in 07 in favor of Thunder Gray. The colors are dramatically different, with the Stealth Gray being a blue gray color and Thunder Gray is more a traditional Gray. I had a Stealth Gray CTS-V and loved the color, I wish they still made it.
But I say go for an 07 or 08, just becuase of a few minor changes in the 07 that are a nice little upgrade over the 06. |

Im still going to look for a while. I emailed a on a few over the weeked. Of course i only got on reply back and they told me the Armada was worth $15K... which is seems way way to low for a 20K mile suv... I know gas has hurt them but thats a $33,000 hit.
I two think a 07-08 would be a better deal, but ill see whats out there. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
