Since you went with the slightly lower and wider tires, in addition to the lowering springs, have you had any issues with tire rub? |

Once I get the D3 fix I will then be at a 1 inch drop while driving.
BUT when parked over night the car looks slammed and my the car sits about ankel high.. I stick my foot under the car and the tongue of the shoe hits. but even then the shocks will come up a bit
SO I don't really know until then. I suspect large/high speed bumps might pose a problem. |

As you can see I am running Toyo T-1R's and really like them. They are the grippiest and quietist tire I have had on this car. They are .97 OD smaller than stock. If I need to go back to stock then Bridgestone now make a real good tire Re050 for our car. |

I do not have a ton of miles on them, but all things considered I thought for the price they are pretty good.
I have no problem breaking them loose . . . |

Well I would love to have been able to give some indication of how long a set of GY F1 A/S lasted on the car, but I needed to replace my fronts due to wear on the inside left tire because my camber was at the far edge of tolerance. Tire Rack was out of the fronts in OEM (special order) so I went ahead and bought the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus and had them put on the fronts as the rear tires are still fine. I had plans to switch to the Mich tire and try them anyway, it just got accelerated.
Just an FYI to all the owners. The dealerships do not have an alignment spec specifically for our cars (STS-V) over the standard STS. The only differences in the machine are for a 2 wheel drive or all wheel drive car. We seemed to find this a little strange, but it is what it is, and it was something I had been wondering. |

CIWS, sorry I should have posted this sooner; I spoke with my dealership about this very same thing when I had my car aligned back in December; The right front tire wear was a problem on both CTS and STS's for a while he said; their tech is analytical and tries to figure stuff out so he said he went slightly off from what GM reccomended -- however still within limits. Mine has been fine since then; I havent' driven it much, but it does handle better than it did before. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
