Be careful, I know one user here who put it on and took it back off because of drone.

Borla didn't really do enough R&D on their STS-V system before they released it.

The system has too much of a drone and no Cadillac should have any resonance.

Also, a forum member here had a Borla system on his 2006 STS-V and the Borla exhaust tips were so big that they burned his bumper exhaust cutouts.

If you call Borla, inform Ted who is the head of Borla's R&D department to look into the problems. I already did that. When I spoke with him he said I was the first to call him with problems with the STS-V system. Maybe if a few of us called him, he would start looking into ways to make a better exhaust system. Borla's systems DO free up hp and tq.

I got the borlas, or the GM performance exhaust actually. The tips on the GM version of the Borla, are about .5 inches smaller from what I have seen compared to the pure borla system. No melting of my rear fender yet!

By myself the drone is little to not bothersome at all. Did take a while to get used to, since my car was soooo quite at stock, so drone did bother me at first, but overall sound is so race car, I sound like a Nascar vehicle driving by, and everyone tells me it sounds bad to the bone.

Now slow speed driving in the hills with 3 friends in the car, and it drones soooo loud that it is irritating, and with the windows open I can barely hear the back seat passengers. But for the most part I love the sound, but it ain't caddy quite in there no more!

what do you guys mean by drone? would that be like the humming sound waves that travels thru out the vehicle.

Exactly, loud humming almost so much that it shakes you.

If you listen closely in manual mode on the STS-V, with the car in 2nd or 3rd gear and the rpms low you can hear drone on the stock exhaust system.

I have had mine for over 5 months now, it actually went on great but I do agree with the drone. My biggest complaint with the Borla system is the exhaust tips. The size they went with was so large it looked horrible on the rear of the car. I ended up cutting them off and having LG Motorsports weld some of theirs on which actually looks like the old GTO tips. The size and look of the new tips are more than awsome! Now, if I can find a 7 year old kid to show me how to place pics of them on here I will be glad to send some photos of the new tips.
