    The local dealership charged 1200 for the exhaust. You can order it from GM parts direct for less and I'm sure that Luke at Lindsay Cadillac parts can do you cheaper as well.

    Has anyone thought of adding a resonator pipe to reduce the drone? The stock S2000 exhaust had this from the factory. All it was is a 3 or 4 inch long pipe (same diameter of exhaust pipes) welded on the side of the pipe. welded at a 90 deg to existing pipe. looked like a coke can welded to the side of the exhaust pipe between the cat and mufflers. this removed the drone. location and length would change where if any drone happens.

    After loking at the Borla exhaust system it appears they have 2 resonators already in the system.

    I am looking for a replacement exhaust too but i just don't know if i like the way Corsa idols - i think it sounds a little tinny?? - not sure if that is a good way to explain it? i like the way borla has a nice throaty rumble at idol and it isn't obnoxious but i worry about the drone at cruising speed too - that would drive me nuts.

    Here is another utube clip of borla on a STS-V: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e48EzELQtOc

    It doesn't sound like there is too much drone inside but i don't know if this is a good way to judge it - plus this is the GM version, not Borla. For those guys who has the Borla, does this sound about right?

    Are there any other options out there besides Borla and Corsa? I wish Magnaflow would get on board - had them on m F150 and it sounded great, especially under WOT - no drone at cruise speeds either.

    Here are your STS-V options regarding exhausts.

    1. The official GM system which is basically just a Borla system
    2. A Gibson system which is also very drone-y as I have heard
    3. A Corsa STS system fabbed to fit the STS-V
    4. Stock

    After listening to that Borla clip... The Borla sounds like a winded person getting out of breath when its doing rev up-s at idle.. Although the CORSA is just about stock quiet at idle and cruise (which i prefer), but upon reving it, it revs up with a strong sound, and screams when you full throttle trounce on it.

    Check out the end of this video... That awsome screaming noise during throttled drive-by is exactly what my car sounds like from having the D3 Stage 1&2 pipes and CORSA mufflers;

    Sorry but the reason I purchased an STS-V was because the car's Supercharger didn't whine like that when opening the throttle. I'm glad to see Cadillac has made sure the new V is also fairly quiet and doesn't have that kind of sound.

    In that case don't do the D3 stage 1&2 pipes, just do the mufflers alone.

    Anything that's going to cause the whine of the S/C to be louder and more pronounced I won't be doing to mine. I had seen one of D3s videos before and noticed how much more you could hear it and decided then I did not want the STS-V to sound like that. I know some folks out there like that whine, but it's not for me.

    Is anyone out there running the Gibson muffler conversion made for the STS-V?
