STS-V Big Brake Upgrades!!

D3 Cadillac, the leader in Cadillac tuning, offers performance braking upgrades for the Cadillac STS-V. We have determined through extensive testing that, when adding sufficient amounts of power to the STS-V application, the need for moderate to mild braking upgrades are required.

Mild brake upgrades include the following products:
Steel braided brake lines
Performance low dust pads
Drilled & Slotted Rotors



Moderate brake system upgrades are as follows:
High Performance Brake Pads
Steel Braided Brake Lines
Drilled/Slotted Oversized Rotors
8 Piston Caliper Fronts & 4 Piston Calipers Rear

As you can see these brakes are much larger than the factory Brembo setup. And performance? Well lets just say, you want to make sure your seatbelts fastened when you hit the brakes. If not, you might smack your chin on the steering wheel! Great performance at high speed, without brake fade, and much shorter stopping distances.

I greatly appreciate the fact that somebody is offering quality performance upgrades for this car. But we have to cut back a bit on the hyperbole. I respectfully suggest that because the stock brakes are more than sufficient to trigger the ABS, and completely lock the tires if that is the intent, a brake upgrade will not shorten stopping distances one single foot, at least for a single panic stop. What the buyer will get is better fade resistance, so it he or she is tracking the car, maximum stopping distance will not decrease with multiple applications. The buyer also might experience better modulation/feel on threshold braking manuevers (something the stock V definitely needs improvement on). I'm sure your kits are quality stuff and will acheive both of these targets. But "smacking your chin on the steering wheel" from increased deceleration g's? Not. Maximum deceleration will not change, only the ability to stay closer to that max point on multiple applications.

Now if we combine your brakes with some DOT street rubber or racing slicks, the story might be different.
