The ps pump on my Park Avenue crapped out at 35k. It was very small, placed in a high-heat area, and clearly was designed with space/packaging concerns outweighing longetivy concerns. If the V has a similar pump, it doesn't suprise me. OH, and the fluid was held in a cheap plastic tub glued to the side of the pump, not at all like the old-style, all metal pump bodies. I'm sure the seal between the pump and the tub fails on occassion. In all, not an example of newer stuff being better than older stuff.

Re: Power steering........any one have issues

I had the exact same problem on my STS-V just after I got it last spring. It dumped all of the fluid on the garage floor. I put more in, and it just leaked out by the time I drove to the dealer.

If I recall correctly, the dealer replaced the seals in or around the power steering pump, and I have had no issues since. I seem to remember they told me it was an installation issue with the seal that happened when the car was manufactured. The seal was kinked or misaligned somehow when it was installed, so it eventually blew under pressure.
