Good to hear you got everything resolved. If you don't mind me asking (I realize prices vary between dealerships) how much was the 30K maintenance on the car ?

Re: Car won't let me in!

Transmission flush & fill, Radiator flush & fill, oil & filter change and rotated the tires (from winter to summer) was $400. They do the power flush at my dealer, so all the fluids were replaced. They also recommend you have the brakes checked and the rotors turned, but I had the brakes done in February, so that wasn't an issue.

Re: Car won't let me in!

This happens frequently with my 06 STS driver door.

Solution?

Put some lithium on the door release (or WD40) spray into the hole on the side of the door, and work the latch in the door itself. It'll start working again. It'll stay working for a few months after that.

I swear. I think it's a matter of the door actuators not being able to pop the door because it's stuck somehow. It's definately NOT the FOB... all the other doors pop when I grab and pull the driver door handle.

Next time it sticks for me (and it will) I'll take a quick video of me making it work again.

Re: Car won't let me in!

The real issue on this car is that the door handle isn't connected to anything but wires.
There is a switch in the handle that tells the computer to poll for the transmitter, when it sees the transmitter another module unlatches the door electrically.
If computer 1 doesn't see the door handle being pulled it would be the same as your car just sitting in the driveway at night.
The '08 CTS is the same way, and so is the XLR except for the handle design. It is a rubber pad with 2 contacts in it.
When those start acting up the car really goes nuts, I had one last week.
