I want to be the first to tell you guys that there will be a rap video coming out in a few months, coming out of the Detroit area featuring MY V. I knew the guy from high school, he's pretty popular locally. we came across each other at the car wash, and he was telling me how he never saw a cadillac like mine, and he wanted to know was it a special order. of course i gave him the low down of the V, but he didnt believe its not faster than it looks, so i took him around the corner and had his eyeballs coming out his sockets espcially when we hit the x-way. i told him not many people are hip to these cadillacs, because every video has escalades and bentlys, etc. so he asked me would i mind putting my car in the video, and you guys know i said hell yes. he already had some regal 85-87 there with a loud paint job and these bigg azz wheels and tires, i think they were at least 26 inches or mayby 28, i know they were tall azz hell, and it had a step bar like my hummer has to get up in that car, it was crazy seeing something like that, anyway the owner of that car was kinda pissed because the rapper wanted my car to be the star in the video instead of big foot regal, he might have got a few shots, but not as much as the V did baby. the rapper was even recording from inside my car and everything. thanks for reading fellaz, i thought i should share that with my fellow V owners.
I think that's great you were able to represent for the V community more than might otherwise be possible. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of most Rap, but I can always watch it with the mute on.
Definitely an A for effort. Let us know the details when you can.
In what now seems like a prior life, I operated a 24-track recording studio. I'm also a registered songwriter with BMI (that and $3 will get me a latte at Starbucks). I think your bud made a good move by featuring the V. One of the tricks to pop music is doing something just a little bit different--enough to catch someone's interest but not so different that it's outside the currently popular formula. He avoided the cliche of yet another video with Escalades and big rims. Good move.
